I beg to refer you oncerore to my letters of August 10 and

28 last and to remind you that I have still received no explana-

tion of the outrageous manner in which the police treated ir. Teo

Yee Swee on the night of the robbery from his house, or any

expression of regret for their brutal and inexcusable conduct.

I have already requested that the officers responsible for this

display of incompetence and brutality may be severely punished

and dismissed, and I have the honour to enquire whether this

request has been complied with.
